By booking a private tour with Thisaa Tours, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

1. Booking & Payments

  • A deposit or advance payment is required to confirm your private tour itinerary and reserve your vehicle and chauffeur driver.
  • The remaining tour balance must be settled prior to or on the first day of your tour, as agreed during booking.
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or cash (LKR/USD/EUR) upon arrival.

2. Travel Insurance Notice

You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance at the time of booking.

Your insurance policy should cover unexpected trip cancellations, medical emergencies, flight delays, personal injury, and loss of personal luggage or belongings while traveling in Sri Lanka.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel your tour, please inform us in writing as early as possible. Refunds (minus non-refundable expenses like advance hotel deposits or national park permit tickets) will depend on how far in advance notice is given.
  • Unused Services: No refunds will be provided for missed activities, unused transfers, or early departures once the tour has commenced.
  • Changes by Us: In rare cases of extreme weather, road closures, or safety concerns, we reserve the right to alter daily routes or stop locations to ensure guest safety.

4. Vehicle & Driver Services

  • Tour packages include a private, air-conditioned vehicle, dedicated English-speaking chauffeur driver, fuel, highway tolls, and driver accommodation/allowance.
  • Chauffeur drivers adhere to local driving regulations and work within reasonable daily driving hours to ensure safe road travel.

5. Guest Responsibilities

  • Passports & Visas: You are responsible for ensuring your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry and obtaining the appropriate Tourist Visa (ETA) for Sri Lanka.
  • Health & Safety: Guests are responsible for assessing their physical fitness for activities such as rock climbs, hikes, water sports, and safaris. Please follow safety instructions provided by guides and instructors.

6. Limitation of Liability

Thisaa Tours acts as an operator for transport and itinerary coordination. While we take every measure to ensure a safe and smooth journey, we are not liable for delays, losses, injuries, or unforeseen expenses caused by third-party providers (hotels, airlines, park authorities), natural disasters, or events beyond our control.
